Professor Zoom, the Rev. Flash

It has been a while since I posted anything based on comics like I used to. I missed that.

So, with this deviation I bring you, Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash - Real name Eobard Thawne!! Since this isn't colored, you can't tell from the picture, but Zoom's costume has Flash's colors reversed: he has red boots and lightnings, and the rest of the costume is yellow. Also, he's supposed to be holding Flash's costume. Maybe if I color it, things will become clearer.

As far as I'm concerned, Zoom is an interesting villain for basically two reasons: 1 - He has exactly the same powers Flash (Barry Allen Flash) has, and 2 - He had this obsession of replacing Barry in every aspect of his life: as Flash, as Barry, and he even wanted Barry's wife, Iris.

This obsession reached its peak when Thwane, rejected by Iris, killed her, driving Barry to the points of madness. After a confrontation with Flash, he was defeated, only to return a few years later, threatning to kill Barry's new fiancé. This time, Barry had no choice but to break his neck, ending Zoom's life once and for all.

Since Zoom is from the future, he actually appeared after his death on ocasion, and he even replaced Barry Allen for a while, before his psychosis led him in a killing spree. That was "The Return Of Barry Allen" story arc, so far my favourite Flash-Zoom story arc ever. Heck, my favourite Flash story ever.

Other Reverse Flashes have appeared, and even other Zooms, have appeared, but Thawne was always my favourite. He always sent me a chill through my spine.

This was my first time drawing a Flash, and while I know it's not perfect, I like it. Hope you do too...
